Let’s take a look at addiction to pantyhose. It describes a devotion, attachment, dedication or inclination towards pantyhose to satisfy ones inner sexual desires. If someone is a true pantyhose addict, then it is a recurring compulsion to engage in sexual acts with pantyhose, despite harmful consequences to the individual’s health, mental state or social life. True addict to pantyhose, mentally relies on pantyhose and will experience withdrawal if forced to live without pantyhose.
Now let’s compare fetish to a pantyhose addict to better understand them both. Accidentally simultaneous presentation of a sexual stimulus and pantyhose at an early age can lead to pantyhose being permanently connected to sexual arousal. It is believed that men as boys, where the mom was very loving and hugged them a lot, find a woman’s breast their main attraction. Mom’s that was always too busy, usually had their son clinging to their pantyhose encased legs looking for attention that was never satisfied? If I wear pantyhose everyday, which I do personally since age 8, am I a pantyhose addict and is it a bad thing? From my viewpoint I love the fashion aspect of it, the way pantyhose compliment my legs. My hubby informed me that men love to see pantyhose on a woman and the phrase pantyhose addict to a man has no negative meaning, just sexy regarding fashion. I just can not get enough of them, If I could stay awake any longer I would look at your pics all day. I think I would prefer to have a fetish than someone say I was addicted lol. A quick word about the psycho babble in the above article. To pigeon hole everyone who likes PH by trying to explain that it was something from their childhood to me seems a bit silly. By collecting pictures or looking at women and getting turned on by it can be explained by how your mother treat you or wether you she gave you enough love is strange, it maybe true of some people but not in my case or a lot of other fetishists or addicts. i think my fetish came from my dad, as a young boy i remember my mom getting dressed in t-shirts with pantyhose on cause my dad liked them. He is a truck driver and I remember a chain of restaurants named pantyhose junction where out at some truck stops and yes my dad made it a point to stop at them all. I also grew up in an age where hose where high in fashion. i even had ong term relationships end cause of it.

I have been “addicted” to pantyhose for as long as I can remember. There is definitly alot of truth to your theory about your mothers influence. My mother always wore Leggs suntan pantyhose and often sent me to the store to buy them for her (remember they came in an Egg?) I believe that is where it began. I would categorise myself as a Pantyhose fetish person. It is an aspect of my character that I often regret & even sometimes get quite depressed about. However I have learned to live with it. This is a great blog. I’ve had a panythose fetish since I was at least 5 maybe younger (I’m 33 now). I can remember one of the neighbors who was fairly young. I prefer not to call it a fetish, statistics will probably tell you that a good percentage of men find women far more attractive in them. Fetish is merely what it has been labelled. Stockings and tigts etc can make ever fuller figured women look stunning provided they carefully select the right stocking. Even less attractive women can outshine more attractive women simply by doning hosiery, if women only listened and recognised this fact. Believe me many men will be suffering in silence over this issue.

I have posted here before and I have been reading through the subsequent posts and I have some thoughts.
Earlier, I talked about my fetish/addiction with pantyhose and how it developed as did some of the other posters. I see that we are all not very different in terms of the manifestation of this fetish. The aspect of one of the complexities that has been festering in my mind about women in pantyhose is that I don’t think that they realize the effect they have on most men. First of all, when I say “most men”, I am, of course referring to those of us that have an affinity for women wearing hosiery and I feel that most men do but they don’t express this thought for various reasons. It seems to be one of those thoughts that are unspoken, perhaps fearing ridicule for having this fetish? This makes the approach to women in hosiery very difficult without coming across kind of creepy. I feel that most women don’t think about their wearing hosiery like men think about it with a sexual component. Those women that wear hosiery on a day to day basis is definitly becoming increasingly rare, although, many still do, don’t, for the most part, regard it as just a socially acceptable part of every day life. Obviously, I’m not a mind reader and no one could possibly know what every woman thinks about in terms of wearing hosiery and how it effects the men that have this affinity. The women that do understand or have an awareness of the effects of wearing hoisery on “us”, usually have been introduced in some way through an experience with a partner that at some point expressed their feelings on the subject. I have found that when the subject is subtly approached and not made the focus, it is usually found to be acceptable and a mutual admiration, in most cases will develop. Not making it the focus is the key, women want to be appreciated for who they are and not for what they are wearing. If it becomes obsessive it may become a turn-off and an aversion may develop, remember, women that are introduced to this fetish, in most cases can take it or leave it and usually are just induldging our needs. Don’t get me wrong there are some women out there that do have this fetish and it is self imposed (Case in point, the author of this blog, Sweet herself)are few and far between.
Going back to the approach aspect, I find myself in my day to day life seeking women that are wearing hoisery and heels and I struggle with what to say without being creepy and remaining respectful. Walking up to a woman wearing hosiery and saying “Hey I really like your Pantyhose” will not go over well, to say the least. Although, I have to admit this is my first thought and what I would like to say but my success rate would be very low. This all goes out the window when you engage the services of a Pro, you can be who and what you want to be, within reason of course, if your are so inclined, as they say, “it’s your dime”.
I apologize for the long ramble, I have alot to say on the subject and I suppose I needed to get it out there.

Like most others, I too love the site of a hosed leg, to me its just the final finishing touch. To me it exemplifies, style, class, maturity, and pride of appearance.
As a business professional, I’m a Diamond dealer and jeweler, I’m expected to wear suits and ties 6 days a week 10 hours a day,which I do, I’ve had many debates with the women of the stores I work in about hose, so for a week I didn’t wear socks with my suits. ( I had them with me )by the end of the week five of the seven women in the store started wearing hose regularly, one husband thanked me for getting her to put some pride on when you go to your job we laughed and I explained you wanna try misry? wear a suit witch, most contain wool, and long sleeves and a tie when its sunny and over 70 degrees, THAT IS HELL.
